The Essence Nail Art Twins Reloaded polishes make the impossible possible – this is how Julia and Edward could form a pair….even for just for a couple of days. But – believe me – they were happy together. :)
I own the base colour since several months, but I couldn’t get myself to use it, I was too afraid to be disappointed once more in Essence. But when I saw Julia and Edward next to each other, I knew I had to marry them.
The base colour’s blue has a soft lavander tint to it, which gives the polish a very summery edge. I don’t have anything likt that. The quality is surprisingly good, but maybe it’s just because I expected much worse – considering my last few quite disappointing tries from the brand. But this one proved to be very good. It covered beautifully in two coats and lasted for 3(!) days.
I applied Julia only on my ringfinger, mostly because I wanted to make the removal of the mani easy. Julia was meant to be on top of Romeo, which is a dark grape purple, so to compliment that Julia consist mostly of purple glitters, but there’s some holo hexagones going on also. It’s quite thick, but manageable, one coat provides a sufficient amount of glitter. Of course I applied two coats, just to add even more sparkle to my ringfinger. :)
I’m very satisfied with both of the two polishes. I’m thinking about checking out the other shades of the reloaded Nail Art Twins too, because they seem to have the good old Essence quality all of us miss so much.
