Today the Birthday Galore continues, don’t forget that there will be a new post every day until next Tuesday! ;)

H&M - Khaki Madness

I loooove fall colors. Clothes, make up, nail polish -everything turns to green, yellow, orange, burgundy, brown… *_* But I’m equally happy for bright blues and purples to be in trend too this autumn, because earth shades can become boring after a while. But not yet. :)

I bought H&M Khaki Madness last year, it was a total impulse buying, so the time I got home I already regretted buying it. This is how it got unswatched for almost a year. A couple of days ago however it was on the right place at the right time, so finally we found each other. :)

I’m sure I have been rambling on and on about my mixed feelings for green. I like it in theory, on other persons and in nail polish bottles, but once they’re on my nails, it just doesn’t feel right. No matter if they’re as gorgeous as A-England Dragon or L’Oréal Majestic Green, I just don’t tend to use them. Although this fact doesn’t ever keep me from buying new green polishes.

So this is how it is with this H&M polish too. I think it’s beautiful in the bottle and even more stunning once applied – but it’s just not for me. I don’t think I will ever use it again. Though I often will look at the pictures of it, so that I can admire this gorgeous shade. My DNA doesn’t tolerate green I guess. :/

But let’s talk about of the polish itselt too, shall we? :) It has a perfect formule, covers with 2 coats, easy to apply and spreads evenly. Although it does dry a little bit more slowly.

Khaki can be either a very boring or a very interesting shade. Khaki Madness definitively belongs to the latter. This gold infused green is so freaking lovely! It reminds me of the smell of the fresh air after rain and the energy of the colorful autumn landscape.

…see? This is what I’ve been talking about. I love this shade so much, but every time I look at my nails, it just doesn’t feel right. There is nothing to be done it seems, I always have been and will be a BLUE-blooded girl. :D
