When I got Amethyst, I thought that was all for me from the Velvet Goth collection. Oh, boy, how I was wrong. After trying and ADORING it, I knew that I’ll need some more of these beauties, and finally I got 3 more of them, well actually all of them except Obsidian, that one’s just not for me. As Sardonyx was the first I fell for, then let’s start with it.
Originally I thought that it wasn’t going to be my type of color, but after seeing it at Belle’s, I knew I just need it.
Red isn’t really my favorite color. I mean, I have no problem with it, I just don’t find it as interesting as some other colors. And I don’t really see any difference between the different shades of red. But even I can see that Sardonyx is very much different of all of my other reds. First, it has this strange half-sand, half-leather finish, secondly, it’s full of red and black glitters which make the polish sparkle like crazy and give them a very interesting depth.
Its finish is quite different from Amethyst’s though, because the bigger glitters are missing….well, I don’t miss them, they’re just not there. :) What undoubtably are there, are the tiny sparkly red and black glitters:
While wearing Amethyst I had no intention to wear a top coat over it, but in this case, it just screamed for some shiny top coat, so here it is:
*_* It is such a gorgeous and crazily beautiful polish! You know, the #itssofluffy and #imgonnadie type of beautiful. I love it. And I love the fact that it’s not just a christmas-y kind of sparkle-y re, but something way more.
Finally I got the blue and the green one too (mostly because Models Own shared a picture of my mani on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, so I thought I was going to celebrate it with some more MO polish. :) Soon they’ll be up too, but Ihave to say in advance, that I don’t even know how could I even think about not getting them at all. ;)
