A-England’s Gothic Beauties collection release was a bit divisive. Some liked it, some hated it. The problem was that although the polishes looked fantastic in the bottles, once applied most of them turned almost black.
Despite every post I read about this phenomenon, I wanted to try Ophelia anyway.
Yeaaaaaaaaah. Well, it’s a very beautiful….eeerr…black?! :/ Okay, you’re right, if I look at it very very closely then I see some purpley sheen to it, but generally, it’s just a plain balck. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with black, I just wanted that astonishing purple I saw in the bottle.
Although quality-wise it’s perfect: so pigmented, covers in one sinlg ecoat, incredubly easy to apply…..but it’s not enough in this case. :/
I would say that if you need a really good black, then choose this one, but I think that in that case you should rather go for Camelot. ;)
