When the new Golden Rose polishes arrived a few weeks ago, all I could care about was the Galaxy collection with its sand-glitter-matte beauties. I barely glanced at the new matte Holiday polishes, so I picked up only gold one. Last weekend though Madlen made me pay attention to them more closely and this happened:
1) I frowned, bent my eyebrows, shook my head – “what the what those are, omg, thank you, but no thank you”
2) I poured over the subject, I became more open to the world – “eeeerrr, wait a minute…”
3) then I changed my mind and my eyes started to shine – “oh, but these are beautiful!!! I want that one and that one, please, thank you.”
I haven’t been this EXCITED lately, these plaster-like polishes made me so thrilled, I couldn’t wait to try one of them. So here it is:
I love it. L-O-V-E it! I’m so in love with this one, it looks awesome! And I indeed didn’t have anything like this before. :) It’s not a bright white, rather a little greyish, so the tips of your fingers won’t glow with this one on it.
I was a little bit concerned about the application, but I had no problems with it, it works just like any other textured polish. The first coat covers surprisingly well – especially for a white polish, but I applied two for a more even surface. It dries insanely quickly and needs no top coat of course. It’s worth mentioning, that it doesn’t get dirty easily. I thought that doing my make up or touching my face all the time will stain it, but it’s perfectly white so far.
I can barely explain why I am sooooo in love with this polish. It’s just the perfect mixture of novelty, oddity and wearability that makes this one special for me. I think I found the first polish that I like because it is matte and not despite of it.
Along with this white one, I bought the No. 85 pale green too, but I guess I won’t be able to resist to a few more shades either. The mauve and the dark blue will certainly be mine very very very soon. ;)
