piCture pOlish – Lagoon

No, I’m still not able to resist to piCture pOlish blues, I can’t help it. :) Buying Lagoon was totally justifiable though, since I was thinking that it’s an absolute must have holiday polish. But the longer I look at it, the more I doubt that Lagoon would be an only summer appropriate kind of nail polish.

I would say that this is a muted turqoise, since it has blue and green in it, but it’s not bright at all. I like it more with every passing minute, although I didn’t quite feel it when I first applied it. And now I just can’t take my eyes off of it! *_*

The jelly base is spiced up with some holo flakies and turqoise glitters. They give it such a depth, it’s like you could almost dive into it. I was quite worried about the coverage first, but I had to realize that two coats are enough for me. There’s still some visible nail line, but – since it’s a jelly polish – I don’t care about that. It dries to a shiny finish, but do apply some top coat over it – and anyway, always apply top coat, every polish look better with it. (Except for matte polishes, obviously.)

Since Lagoon is not as bright as Ocean, I can see myself using it in fall and winter too. And I can’t overemphasize the fact that when I first used it, I didn’t fell for it and now I can’t wait to apply it as soon as I can. :)

Update: I used it again, stamped it, loved it. Check out how it turned out here. ;)
