You all know very well by now that one of my favourites indie brands is ILNP. I got my first polishes of the brand last summer, but I kept loving them more and more ever since. Today I’d like to show you some shades of the 2015 Spring collection, and beware, they look absolutely stunning. :) All of them has perfect quality and they all cover in two coats.
Let’s start with the one that unfortunately looks kind of unflattering on me since it doesn’t suit my skintone. Even though I’m sure that a lot of you will really like this shade – no wonder, it’s so pretty and girly! It has a gorgeous holo effect topped with tiny gold flakes – giving the polish a touch of luxury.
Happily Ever After
Happily Ever After is so much more up my alley – and not because it is more sparkly, but because it’s WAY more sparkly. It’s a light lilac, that has holo pigments and silver flakies in it and shines so bright in sunlight, that it’s almost impossible to look at it. :)
The blue of the collection didn’t seem so interesting for me at first, but then I realized that I don’t have anything like it. I love periwinkle in the spring and if there’s some holo involved too, now this is where I’m sold. :)
Poetry is so not a spring polish in my dictionary. And even so, I’m in love with this deep burgundy-purple just as much as I love Black Orchid which was also the inspiration for Barbra to create this shade. And she did it again: she created a polish with such a depth that you could dive in it.
To compare it to some other shades, here we have from left to right: Fancy Gloss – Frozen Berries, ILNP – Poetry, ILNP – Black Orchid and Colour Alike Winter Holo 502.
Timeless Vow + Fame
The two biggest surprise of the collection for me was Timeless Vow and Fame. I thought that Timeless Vow just won’t be enough and Fame will be way too much – and boy, was I wrong. Timeless Vow turned out to be a gorgeous muted pastel green with holo pigments and gold flakies – a combination that makes this polish so special and beautiful! And Fame….well, Fame is everything. It’s gold and silver and holo and flakies, it sparkles like c-r-a-z-y and goes well with e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. *_*
Here’s a little comparison again, so from left to right: Funlacquer – Pay Day (H), ILNP – Fame, A-England – Excalibur and Colors by Llarowe – 2015:
Fun lacquer has the most holo in it, but it needs 4 coats to cover perfectly. The A-England polish isn’t holo at all, but its base shade is very similar to Fame.
I really really love these polishes and not just because of the shades. They all are so easy to apply and remove – yepp, even the flakies – they all have a p-e-r-f-e-c-t quality. So if you like any of the shades, you don’t risk anything by purchasing them. :)
I got the polishes for test purposes, but that do not influence my opinion about them, only my behaviour towards them, since I’ll most likely store them on a shelf lit 24/7 with thousand and thousands of leds. :D
