…by LakkomLakkom!!!!!!! *_*
I can’t believe that it’s actually happening!!! That I have my very own piCture pOlish shade with LakkomLakkom written on it in my hands!! *_* I can’t believe that piCture pOlish did choose me as a collaboration blogger and that I finally FINALLY can tell it to you too! <3
I can’t tell how happy I am right now, but I’ll try. Not here though, but in this other post – you can find the ranting, the story-telling and the crying from happiness there. And here, let’s talk about The Polish. :)
So, Magic. <3
When I was trying to choose a shade, my first thought – obviously – was blue. What else for me, am I right? :) Then I was looking at all the PP blues and I realized that they have so many breathtaking blue polishes, that I can’t come up with a brand new one. I just can’t. So I dropped the idea. Then I started to think about the shades they don’t really have: like gold or silver (this was before Pharaoh). Gold, silver, gold, silver, I like both, but none of them is a real favourite……but how about rose gold?! *_* A scatter holo rose gold!! *_* One that has the same metallic finish as Eyre.
And that was all, I had no more doubts about MY shade. The colour I imagined was love at first sight. It was fabulous and magical…hence Magic. :) And as they say in my favourite director, Christopher Nolan’s movie, The Prestige:
“Now you’re looking for the secret… but you won’t find it, because of course you’re not really looking. You don’t really want to know. You want to be fooled.”
The whole concept – the name, the shade, the title – was ready in my mind in no time. After this the main thing I was really excited about was to see the polish in real life. But of course Jules and her team amazed me: the polish they sent me was pure perfection. So let’s see how my piCture pOlish looks like:
It gives a whole new dimension to being rose gold: it is duochrome so it changes its colour between rose and gold in every second. It has a metallic finish with lots of sparkly scatter holo flakies that turn the polish absolutely gorgeous in direct sunlight. *_*
It covers in two coats, it’s easy to apply, it doesn’t streak and it’s very effortless to clean up.
It has yet another characteristics: it’s difficult to be photographed! In front of any kind of camera it turns into bronze, which it isn’t in real life at all. I only mention this feature, so when you have it on one day, don’t be surprised, if it’s being stubborn on pictures.
I’m obviously very biased but I fell in love with this polish. <3 It’s perfectly office friendly, it doesn’t seek attention, it’s not a drama queen, it’s just simply there on the nails with its sophisticated elegance and femininity.
I’ve been wearing Magic on my toe nails for the last couple of months (I didn’t dare to apply it on my fingers, only when I knew that no one was going to ask me what I was wearing :)), so I had lot of time to admire it, but I’ll never ever get tired looking at it. ^^
And finally let me thank Jules and the entire piCture pOlish team for making my dream come true! This is one of the happiest days of my life! And thank all of YOU, guys out there, too! It could have never happened, if it weren’t for you, this day is ours. <3
