F.U.N. Lacquer – Christmas 2016

This post is also available in: Magyar

Aaaaaaaaand another Christmas collection! :) This time I’ll show you six new F.U.N. Lacquer shades and I’m very curious whether you’ll like them. I surprisingly fell for two that I originally had some concerns about, but let’s start from the beginning.

Snow in the Rainbow Night

The most rock’n roll shade of the collection, Snow in the Rainbow Night is not at all christmas-y for me, but maybe some of you will love it exactly for this reason. It has tons of black holo microglitters and silver flakes in a clear base. Even though it doesn’t have a base colour, two coats cover perfectly. It sparkles so crazy that you can’t look at anything else when you have this on your nails. (A peel-off base is strongly recommended under it.)

Almost every Christmas collection this year has a rose gold or a copper in them – not that I’m complaining. Chandelier is almost a peach, it has so much warmth to it. F.U.N. Lacquer calls it a copper-gold, I think it’s the perfect category fot it. It has holo glitters and silver flakies for the extra sparkle. (2 coats)

Blue Christmas

Blue Christmas is so right up my alley! I LOVE cobalt blues so so so much. <3 This one is a linear holo, no glitter, no flakie, no nothing – thank God, I think it’s just perfect like this. (2 coats)

Norhtern Lights

Okay, so now let’s see one of my favourites: Northern Lights. It has a clear base full of tiny irridescent square glitters. They shift from a yellowy green to cobalt blue, they have amazing colours! I needed 3 coats on its own to get a decent coverage, but it was totally worth it. And I applied it over Blue Christmas too and it looked just as great. So I’d encourage every green and blue polish lover to get it, if you apply it over a complimenting base, it makes everything so special and exciting. <3

Red-Nosed Reindeer

We then have our linear holo Christmas red, Red-Nosed Reindeer – this name is just so cute! :) But I have seen more interesting red holos before (I’m looking at you CbL <3), so I’m not the biggest fan. (2 coats)

Jingle Bells

And here’s my other favourite. <3 Jingle Bells is the same kind of weird coloured glitter polish as Northern Lights, but this time we can see a shift from a greenish ugly gold to red – so amazing! It also needed 3 coats for an OK coverage and it’s also perfection for layering over a lot of other shades. It’s so exciting – and exciting is everything I’m looking for in polishes lately. :)

And here’s the entire collection one more time:

I think that this collection has everything one would need: a red, a blue, some crazy sparkle glitters and some crazy shifting glitters. Lately I’ve been feeling a little lost when it came to me deciding which polishes I really really like, you know, like reeeeeally really, but when I was swatching this collection, I was so amazed by the shifty glitters and I so not wanted to remove them, that I think it’s safe to say that they will be real favourites for me. :)

How about you? Do you like them? Or it’s just me going crazy in the middle of so many Christmas polishes? :)

The collection will be available from December 3rd at F.U.N. Lacquer, and stockists, like Nailland or Hypnotic Polish.
