Okay, so snowflakes this year again. It seems I can’t help it: it’s winter and I love winter and winter for me is snowflakes. :) So here’s another nail art with these frozen vapor flowers.
I wanted to use different shades of pink, because this article will be featured on one of Hungary’s most popular online magazine for women Vous.hu (a few months ago I already posted a manicure inspired by them here) and their main colour is pink. So I grabbed one of my favourite snowflake patterns that is on the Moyra Celebration plate and 3 stamping polishes: a hot pink, a pastel pink and a white one. I decided to stamp on my bare nails to have an airy effect.
I started with the neon pink, then I went for the pale one – I made sure to rotate the stamper, so that the snowflakes don’t cover, just overlap each other. Then I finished with the white stamping polish, so my nails looked mostly white with some pinks peeking through. And this is where it gets funny.
I applied one coat of ILNP – My Private Rainbow X, then one coat of Seche Vite and somehow the hot pink snowflakes appeard on the top. They miraculously came forward and became more dominant on my nails. And it was not because the white or the pastel pink snowflakes disappeared or smudged, because they didn’t, they are still there. So I guess I’ll never understand how, but my nails suddenly became pink. Maybe it’s a Christmas miracle. :):)
I hope you are all ready for Christmas and you let yourselves feel the holidays not just rush through them. Don’t forget that we’ll always have our polishes and nail arts to let go of to do lists, chores and problems for maybe at least half an hour. ;)
