Cadillacquer – No Matter What

This post is also available in: Magyar

Cadillacquer‘s new collection, No Matter What, consists of 11 polishes: 5 holo multichromes and 6 glitter or flakie jellies/crellies. The shades were named after chemical elements, which unfortunately makes me unable to remember their names. :) Although I’m very happy to see how versatile this collection is, I really love when creators let their imagination run wild.

Let’s start with swatches of the multichrome holos.

Atom is the most blue and green of the bunch – hence my favourite. :) (2 coats)

Graviton is quite similar to it, but more on the purple side. (2 coats)

Then we have the coppery, rusty brown Myon. (2 coats)

And it has a paler version too, Photon, with cute pink flakies. (2 coats)

And finally we have Tauon, with a purple base colour and some gorgeous pink shimmer. (2 coats)

Let’s see them side by side too:

And now let’s take a look at the more eventful shades.

Baryon has a really dark, bluish teal base with some multichrome flakes and scatter holo in it. (2 coats)

Electron has an orchid jelly base with orange/copper glitters in it. *_* (2 coats)

Fermion is one of my favourites, I just love this pale pink. It has bigger, matte white glitters and tiny black dots and it’s even holographic at the same time. I think it’s super excting, I haven’t seen anything like it. (2 coats)

Neutrino is another favourite: it has a flesh/salmon base with dark blue glitters in it. (2 coats)

Positron has a baby blue base and metallic green square glitters. *_* (2 coats)

And finally Boson: a gorgeous vampy burgundy jelly with some scatter burgundy square glitters – amazing. *_* (2 coats)

Please keep in mind that I had very short nails while swatching these polishes, so 2 coats may not be enough of the jellies/crellies for those with longer nails.

Cadillacquer is slowly becoming one of my favourite brands and that’s mostly because of their spirit. They create polishes that are exciting and interesting, they remind me of the beginning of this indie polish era, when everyone tried to make bold and special polishes with all kinds of glitters. And although I have issues with glitters that give texture to the polish, I have nothing to fear when it comes to Cadillacquer: their glitter polishes have the most amazing quality, they don’t need 2-3 coats of top coat to even out the surface of the nails. I’m such a huge fan!

The polishes will be available soon at Hypnotic PolishColor4Nails and Lakodom.

Cadillacquer is my favorite indie brand (especially since it’s a Swiss brand). I love this collection. Her crellies are incredible *-* My favorite is Neutrino. And Electron reminds me of Picture Polish’s Imperial (which I love). Can’t wait to get my order. As always your swatches are gorgeous.ReplyCancel

      Thank you so much! :)
Their crellies are just phenomenal, aren’t they? *_* I don’t know how Madeleine does it, but they’re so fun to use. :)ReplyCancel

Hello, I am a new follower, just love your fine taste in nail polish and nail art.
I want to ask you what base coat to use for holographic nail polishes. Some bloggers say none. I’ve only tried ILNP, PiCture POlish and Cirque so far, and I have your Magic collaboration with PP, which is great!
Is Cadillaquer a thick or rather a thin polish? How is their resistance on nails?
    Thank you!ReplyCancel

      Hello Danussa,
Welcome! :) And I’m so happy that you like Magic! *_*
Actually I almost never use a base coat, but it does protect the nails, so I strongly suggest it to others. It does not effect the holo effect of the polishes though, so they’ll look the same with our without a base.
Cadillacquers are surprisingly not thick, even if they have lots of glitters. They’re easy to apply, but they are pigmented enough to cover in 2 coats. :)
As for the longevity, unfortunately I can’t help you, since I only wear a shade for a day or two.ReplyCancel
