Dry brush technique

This post is also available in: Magyar

I really wanted to use these three polishes in one manicure, but after a total fail ombre attempt, I didn’t have any idea that wouldn’t require a lot of time and effort. Finally I realised that I have never tried the dry brush technique, so it was time to finally give it a go.

The dry brush technique is very simple: you remove any excess nail polish of the brush, until there’s almost nothing left on it, then you draw random lines on the nails. I applied Hydrangea, Ixia and Dahlia on a white base – it’s practical to start with the lightest, then continue with the darker shades. It’s so easy and quick!

I liked this design so much that I recreated it with three other blue polishes too, the second time I used Colors by Llarowe Mom Jeans, Young Turks and Rest In Pieces.

I’ve been wearing these two manicures for 4 days and they were still painful to remove. :)

You can purchase Il Était Un Vernis at Hypnotic Polish or from the brand’s own webshop and the Colors by Llarowe polishes are available at Nailland Hungary or Llarowe.
